Score a Touchdown With These Thermo Diet Super Bowl Snacks

One of the most exciting times of the year is quickly approaching. That’s right, while many of us may be sad that football season is coming to an end, one event still has us holding on.

Yep, the Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl means Super Bowl parties, gatherings and most importantly, good food. So what are some Super Bowl snacks that are sure to please?

Figuring out what snacks to make for a large gathering can be tough, especially when you want to keep things on the healthy side. But not to worry, we’ve got you covered.

Here are two Thermo Super Bowl snacks to keep you satiated and energized for those exciting times during the biggest game of the year.

Football Zucchini Fritters

These football-shaped zucchini fritters only require four ingredients while making a delicious snack. So what are the few listed ingredients for these green fritters?

Football Zucchini Fritters

 

  • 2 green zucchinis (grated)
  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  1. In a cheese cloth, gather the grated zucchini in a ball.

  2. Wring out excess water from the grated zucchini.

  3. In a large bowl gather the beaten egg, coconut flour and grated zucchini.

  4. Prepare a baking pan with coconut oil and bring it to medium heat.

  5. Using your hands, take the zucchini mixture and mold them into burger-shaped pieces.

  6. Place them on the pan, flipping occasionally (for about 5 minutes each side) until each side is a light brown.

  7. Once all the zucchini fritters are made, take a football-shaped cookie cutter and cut out footballs.

  8. Serve these football-shaped zucchini fritters on a serving dish with your favorite dip.

Football Sweet Potato and Chicken Finger Sandwiches

These thermo-diet approved sweet potato and chicken finger sandwiches are topped with honey. These babies are sure to satiate that sweet tooth while keeping your health goals in mind on the big day.

Super Bowl Sweet Potato and Chicken Finger Sandwiches

 

  • 2 sweet potatoes
  • 1 pound free-range chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp organic honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  1. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes (about ¼ inch).

  2. Cut each slice into the shape of a football.

  3. Coat a large cooking pan with coconut oil and place on medium heat.

  4. Place the football-shaped slices on the pan and allow them to cook for 5 minutes or so on each side (or until each side is cooked properly).

  5. While the sweet potatoes are cooking, rinse and cube the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces.

  6. Bring another medium-sized cooking pan to medium heat. Cook the cubed chicken pieces for 10 minutes (or however long it takes to cook).

  7. Once the sweet potato slices and chicken are cooked, prepare the sandwiches. Place a piece of chicken in between two slices of sweet potatoes and add a dab of honey to each piece.

  8. Serve these up while they’re still warm.
